Captain Phillip 'Blurge'

Philip is captain of Metsuyan IV and is responsible for the management, safety and wellbeing of the ship, and everybody on board. Philip grew up in North-West England and his love of adventure and water sports led him to become an instructor at Tower Wood Outdoor Education Center, after graduating from College. When Philip went travelling to Australia and New Zealand, it was these skills that led Philip to begin working in the yacht industry. Having lived in South Florida for 14 years before moving to Spain in 2014, he now has over twenty years of experience in the industry and has captained yachts all over Europe, and in the US and the Caribbean. He also regularly undertakes transatlantic crossings to deliver new super yachts safely to their owners. 

When not onboard Metsuyan, you will often find Philip back with his family in Mallorca or outdoors road biking and trail running the island where he lives.
